2 Hour Cypress Forest Guided Eco-Tour

This 2-hour, out and back, guided eco-tour is a great way to explore the natural side of Florida. Our certified guides will lead you down Shingle Creek, which is the headwaters of the Everglades, into a beautiful Cypress Forest. This unique landscape is visited by local wildlife such as turtles, various wading birds, birds of prey and even an alligator or two. On occasion deer and otters are spotted as well! Along the way our guides will be on the lookout for anything interesting, and will share with you their knowledge of the local flora and fauna. Questions are always welcomed and encouraged!

All of our tours guides are kayak instructors, certified by the American Canoe Association (ACA) as well as First Aid and CPR trained. 

Tour includes single kayaks or tandem kayaks, paddling instructions, and all paddling equipment.

What to know & what to bring:

  • This is an out and back tour, but allows you to explore some incredibly beautiful cypress forest areas.

  • Groups of 10 or more should reserve at least 3 days in advance. 

  • Included are equipment rental, paddling technique instruction, ecology/history narration & water.

  • Bring appropriate attire (shorts, light shirt/top, sandals, hat, etc.) & sun block.
